Developer docs
Build on khensu.nu
khensu.nu is a post-quantum private messenger on a network run by people, and the first app on webE. These docs are for people who want to run part of the network, review the design, or contribute.
Principles
- Post-quantum everywhere. Every message, call, payment and signature uses NIST’s post-quantum standards, ML-KEM-1024 and ML-DSA-87, inside the IETF’s Messaging Layer Security (MLS).
- Stealth is not optional. Every message travels through a mix network, and every phone sends the same constant rhythm whether or not you’re using it. There is no setting to turn it off.
- Nothing is processed on servers. Search, summaries and answers come from private AI on your own device. There are no AI nodes or servers for your data to leak to, and no iCloud or Siri.
- Run by people. Nodes run on Raspberry Pi 5 boards, Macs, laptops and old phones in people’s homes, paid for the work they can prove they did.
Start here
- Architecture: the parts of the system and what each one does.
- Run a node: hardware, connection and how to join.
- Repositories and licences: where the code lives and when it opens.
- Security: how to report a vulnerability.
